The Armour Of God

Armour of God
The armour of god

Most of us Christians want the benefit of serving God. I believe most of us have an idea of what we would like from God to manifest into our daily lives. This can be things like peace, joy, freedom and identity. To know who we really are and know what the heck we were put on this planet for and so on.

I really share the frustration, especially when nothing in our natural visibility makes no sense. The reason they do not make any sense to us is that we are seeing our situation with our natural eyes. We have been tricked to think that, we can fight all of our battles using our own resources and experiences.

I have learnt over the years that, the only way we can have peace, joy, freedom etc is through wearing the full armour of God. If you do not know what they are, please read Ephesians 6:10-18.

Most of us are affected by the coronavirus pandemic in one way or the other. We do not deny what is around us, however, we can wear God’s armour to continue to experience joy, peace, freedom and who we are in Christ. Even when our natural surroundings say something else.

I encouraged you today, to put on the full amour of God. For most of us, our amour is as shown in the picture. They are not on us yet, as they are still in the bible or diary.

How do you put on the armour of God?

Good question.

You need to start by firstly, checking which area of your life you feel affected by the most, for example, do you have peace right now? If not then, this may be an indication that perhaps this armour- helmet specifically, may not be put on. The battle of the mind is mainly raging when we are anxious, not sure of who we are or what is going to happen to us due to whatever reasons.

How do you put this on?

It is by reciting God’s words; the sword of the Spirit, that has the power to fight any negative thoughts inside of your head, literally! Try for 21 days, you will be amazed at the results.

The following scriptures are just a few swords you could use or wear to find the peace you have been lacking.

  • “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
  • “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippian 4:6-7
  • “I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.” Leviticus 26.6
  • “The LORD lifts up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6.26
crown of thorns

Remember: Jesus won the battle of the mind on the cross when he spilt his blood from the crown of thorns that was put on his head. The blood was shed from His forehead claiming your freedom and mine. Believe by faith that you are freed from anxiety.

That is how you wear your helmet of salvation. These words will be planted in your heart as you faithfully recite them daily and let them manifest through you. My father in Christ, Andrew Womack, would say that it will have an effortless change in and then out of you.
